October is over...Thanksgiving is on its way and I love turkey among other foods
usually people have on T-Day. Except maybe a couple of things. For Society of
Orion stuff, I am hoping to think well on this Birding Project and its going to
look interesting for the next few meetings and months of course. The plan is to
visit churches (we're not a religious organization by the way) and set up a
table that is presentable to them that we can express our study on Birding. I
would personally like to have this start at my church once we are ready to go to
these places and let them know we are out there for the people to share our
lessons on Birding and that we are here to have a good time! I can't wait for
the spring time to hear the birds sing and chirp! The only thing about this deal
is, hidden agendas. Like I said we are not a religious group of any faiths or
groups etc., but I am a Christian and I follow Christ. I want to make sure this
doesn't fall under this kind of thing that, "Oh the churches are going to donate
money because we're a Christian organization" or "Sorry we cannot have you guys
because your organization is not a Christian organization." Get what I am trying
to say here?
The other thing is "Oh, were not interested in your group then if you're not
Christian." That's if when were visiting the churches. Get the point?
I don't want this to be a religious fiasco. But right now, that will not bother
me because we have to produce this great presentation that will be available to
all organizations before we go to these places.
I am looking forward to this. How about you??

I miss the MORT trip already! I bought a lot of store brand Mac n cheese spirals
from each different store that I have not tried or had. We visited this one good
eating place in Ohio called Skyline Chili aka Cincinnati Chili and they serve
good chili. Johnny K's in Lansing, IL had the best food during this trip. It was
all delicious BBQ food. HMMMMMM! Day 1, we visited my "home town" of Belvidere,
IL near Rockford, IL. We visited a Sullivan's grocery store which used to be a
Piggly Wiggly if you would see their border wall paper on the wall near the next
door. I bought a cool blue Belvidere Illinois shirt from their and a box of mac
n cheese I think.
We stayed at Super 8 at all our night stops which was 4 nights. Day 2 was very
very long. We basically drove all day almost without stops. Longest day of the
trip it seemed. We did visited the Winery in Carlsville, WI and stayed at the
lovely Sturgeon Bay, WI with a good motel and pool. Last day we stopped in Green
Bay and visited a Red Owl and of course the Packers pro shop on Lambo Field. Din
Din we ate at King Buffet in Wausau and visited a County Market next to the
buffet and arrived home around 8:04 pm at the "watch tower."
Go to
http://societyoforion.spaces.live.com and you can see some pictures from the
trip. Me, I am working at "Save Big Money when you Shop at M*****s" and I wish I
had a car. Cheerio my friends.

Well the MORT is in two weeks and then September is then over with.
I made the troop some yummy "Cheesy Brat Stew." Contains Brats, cheddar cheese,
green beans, cream of mushroom soup and couple of other ingredients. Last week,
we made "Fruit Roll Up Roly Polis." Those were good! Me, I make mac n cheese
once a week or every other week.
Safe travels!

Greetings,
What a great hot dog stand we had this past weekend. It was hot and somewhat
muggy but dry and moisture in the air. It was all good. You had to have water
though! (Drink up fellas) This week, our Program Director is going get married.
Jah bless you both and live long and prosper! This week I not vigorously, but I
did come up with some ideas for the Bird Presentation committee but I hope it
helps to bring more thoughts and ideas. I can't wait to visit churches and such
to teach the kiddies and the adults of birding. This should and will be a great
task to work on.

Greetings,
Our program to update the website is not 100% compatible with our servers etc.
but works from to time and it's very confusing and somewhat frustrating. But in
the end, we'll just have to work what we got and it works but we just have to be
extra careful on how we are working on our site. In the meantime, this is the
first time MORT being moved into the fall season which be different and cooler
too. Well it might be. Who knows? Our trip is taking place the first week in
October and we're still planning on visiting the same places we've planned on
for MORT before the dates were changed. We're looking forward to the trip and
get this site updated as much as possible. PEacE!

How's everyone? The S.O. is doing good. As the news as said about our website
being under construction, our website has a lot of work to be done. A lot of
things has been going in our personal lives like marriage, being a registered
driver for MN and working full-time etc. A lot of good things have been going on
lately. Our MORT trip is most likely postponed this August as the members are
having conflicts with their work schedule but the trip is still going to happen.
This past Hot Dog Stand went like a breeze without the inconvenience with the
previous pop machines, we got to hand out cans of sodas to make things easier.
Cool beans.
The Society of Orion Fantasy Football league 2006 is also making its return too
so feel free to join us in that fun experience. I can't wait to drive the S.O.
for the first time to Hastings, MN. There are two grocery stores down there that
the S.O. has not visited yet. And I am driving them down there on a Thursday, I
think. Ya know what's cool? Johnny Cash is releasing another American Recordings
album. It comes out July 4th. Peace.

I am so looking forward to the next two weekends! Next Sunday we're having our
Board of Directors Meeting and the following weekend is our Hot Dog Stand in
Woodbury. But I want to have decent weather. Sun and temps in the 60's and 70's.
I wish we could get as many people we can to volunteer for our HDS!! Well then,
come if ya can!!

The SRT was a success! But the Big Fish was not open. I guess it's
only open during the fishing season. But we did take pictures of the huge
statue. The Geocaching made the trip really fun. I hope I enjoy more Geocaching
in the future! Although the S.O. is participating in the Cache In Trash Out day
on April 22!! We'll help clean up Dakota county's Thompson Park in West Saint
Paul. All in all we made another records with15 grocery stores! I think don't
take me up on that though. But 15 just 4 more we would have met the 19 grocers
back in 2004 on the MORT trip. CACHE IN my friends!

It's incredible that our SRT is already approaching! It seems like we
just visited Pelican Rapids not too long ago! Oh well. I'm trying not to take
Bena, MN as our main attraction. It is possible that this attraction of a huge
musky fish might not be there! Sane goes for the Big Fish restaurant. But I
called twice and no answer. So that means no lunch at the Big Fish.
