Happy 75th Anniversary Hy-Vee!  2005 marks the year that this great Grocery Chain started out with a small store in Beaconsfield, IA.  Now Hy-Vee has grown into several Midwestern states and brings in over $4.6 billion dollars in sales.  Hy-Vee is definitely one of the Society of Orion's favorite chains of grocery store.  The North Ottumwa store in Iowa was the SO's 2004 Grocery Store of the Year, and several Hy-Vees are in the top running for 2005.

Well our program now offers three really great opportunities for SO members and friends alike to dive into our GREAT SO program. The Grocery Store Century Club, the Basic Nature Award, and the Basic Taxonomy Research Award. We hope to give all of our SO Family a chance to earn awards for learning about the SO Basics. Keep an eye out for the near future for we will be making new awards that will be available to SO members and friends alike. Check the Forms and Pubs page for Award Applications.

Good luck to all who try for the awards!!!

And as always, thank You for your interest in our organization!

In Our Thoughts and Prayers:  Please keep the Dietz family in our prayers, as they lost a most valuable member of their family, Mary Dietz, in mid February.  Continue to pray for them during their adjustment.
