For reasons out of my control I'll have to part with most of my cards soon. This means that cube as you know it, is going away 
So I was thinking about building a cube of just commons cards instead and here's were you are gonna help. What are the best common cards available.
There are some obvious choices like brainstorm, oblivion ring, lighting bolt, hymn to tourach and rancor. But maybe you can think of an obscure common card that is awesome.
Start suggesting!

are you talking just commons or can we include uncommon as well? If we can include uncommon that opens up a few power cards.
A list of the commons/uncommon cards already in the cube would help.
Land Grant
Frenzied Tilling and/or Reap and Sow
Portent
Topple
Ronin Houndmaster
Order of Leitbur and its clones
Capsize
Dragon Breath and the other cards in that cycle
some of the lands in the newest set are also good
Halimar Depths
Bojuka Bog
Khalni Garden

Those are good, I'll try to get something organized over the weekend. After deciding what has to go and what can stay I'll try to come up with a list.
I'm still not sure about uncommons, maybe if they are in limited number it would be fine. Some uncommons are really expensive after all. |

Mostly time. I'll try to sell every rare, except for the Balance. I've been getting around what I should get on eBay, at the end if I still have money rares I'll probably sell them to cardkingdom they have decent buy prices. And the junk rares will go to ebay as bulk.
So far I've sold like $530, I think/hope I can get at least $500 more. |

But if I'm gonna move I'll need money to survive at the first month. And usually you can't pay rent with cards. |

I decided that after selling singles I'll throw all the left over rares and uncommons on ebay at once. I'll keep all the commons to make pauper decks and the common cube. Maybe in a few years I'll upgrade to a common/uncommon and finally to what it was (supposed to be).
I'm almost up to $1k now. I'll probably have to borrow money anyways but the less the better.
Edit: The warhammer is uncommon. I thought it was common. Well you can hold it there for a while.

I think the problem is that I start thinking:
"I'll keep some of the uncommons for a cube"
"Maybe these work for that deck that I like"
"I could use those rares as well"
And so on. Considering that it's probably wiser to not keep any.
For example I'm really tempted to keep a Top, a Scepter, and a Vial.  |

I can see how 3 of the best uncommon cards ever printed(with or without broken ones) would be tempting.
How about cards like Goblin War Drums? They were printed as a common at one point but moved up to uncommon in a later printing.
