For the next couple of months, the Society of Orion will be busy producing what is a very important part of the organization: BIRDING PRESENTATION. We are going to make this part of our group and use it to get out into the world and express our passion for birding. We will inform you with more information once we have more to share with you. Please read our bird of the week at the end of this page and browse our awesome message board that we have almost for a year now! Go ahead and sign on and post something you would like to talk about. See you at the meeting.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!! We're back!! The Society of Orion successfully returned home from the late great MORT Trip '06!!
What a trip it was our friends! We visited 25 grocery stores and almost got swept away from Lake Michigan and a Piggly Wiggly! We're having our first meeting this week since we had our potluck dinner. A couple of memebers were ill last week so the meeting was canceled and they voted not to have one the week after mort was done. All in all it was very good trip. We finally hit Jungle Jims! That is an amazing place! A LOT of COOL THINGS! The Society of Orion live space has pictures from the trip to feel free to check that out and see what we were doing and visiting on our trip which is on the links page.
All Hail Johnny K! Just kidding folks!

Hi there,
Ok about our website; there isn't much to add on our website. Right now the only thing right now would be is the bird of the week. But in the past couple of months we've been busy focusing on what we have planned for 2006. We are a community outreach program and we are going to reach out to the community and teach people the number one hobby: BIRDING.
So there you have it folks.  We recently had our FRT (Fall Road Trip) and it was success! We did our very first Geocashing hunt and we found a coffee can full unique stuff. We visited 7 grocery stores and the SPAM museum and some other retail stores.
It was a great trip. So below we have a new bird of the week and I hope you all have a wonderful week and weekend.
